Windmill Community Church
The former St Thomas Church next to the Lidl supermarket in Finchfield as shown,was closed for more than 20 years and lay vacant and fell into complete disrepair until it was purchased by the Windmill Community Church. This had been set up originally by Terry and Margaret Wilkes in 2013 near the Windmill in Castlecroft. Having raised the necessary funds and restored the building back into use, work began and on completion the Windmill Church moved to its new position.
The Windmill Community Church is a registered charity and has grown into a lively family church with contemporary worship and messages relevant to everyday life. The church is a mainstream interdenominational Christian Church and is a member of The Evangelical Alliance.
Mike Domoney, who played a major role in setting up Compton Hospice, leads the Trustee team. Ordinary people from all walks of life have joined and found special kindness and friendship as we share the love, joy and peace of God.
